Information we handle

We handle information you provide directly, information created while you use kaami, and limited technical and operational information needed to run the service.

• Account and authentication information, including your email address and account profile.
• Career Profile information, including employment and work history, skills, accomplishments, evidence, and facts you confirm.
• Resumes, uploaded documents, role-aware resumes, application materials, and other content you choose to provide or create with kaami.
• Job descriptions, role URLs, employer and role information, Role Analysis results, evidence clarification answers, and job-search or application information you provide.
• Support communications and other correspondence you send us.
• Subscription and billing information, such as Stripe customer references, subscription status, and billing events. Stripe handles payment-card information; kaami does not need to store full payment-card details when Stripe processes a payment.
• Device, request, security, and operational information generated when you access kaami or when our infrastructure provides the service.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, secure, and improve kaami and the features you request.
• Authenticate your account, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, and communicate about the service.
• Structure career information, analyze role information, compare candidate evidence with role requirements, and produce requested role-aware materials.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other misuse of the service.
• Understand and improve the reliability and usefulness of kaami’s product experience.

How kaami uses AI

kaami uses AI to support features such as structuring user-provided career information; understanding job requirements; comparing evidence to role requirements; explaining strengths, gaps, and next moves; grounded career guidance; evidence clarification; and producing role-aware resumes and application materials.

To provide an AI-powered request, kaami may send information necessary for that request to its AI provider. That may include resume or Career Profile information, professional experience and evidence, job descriptions and role requirements, clarification answers, and context needed to generate role-aware application materials.

AI-generated results can be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing them before using them in an application or making a career decision. kaami uses AI for decision support; it does not make autonomous consequential employment decisions for you or an employer.

How information is shared

We share information with service providers that process it for us to provide kaami. Our current processor inventory is available on our Subprocessors page. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction where permitted by law.

• When you submit a role URL, kaami may retrieve the role information from that external source at your direction. Those employers, applicant-tracking systems, and websites are external sources, not kaami subprocessors.
• We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of selling it for money.

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide kaami, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect the service, and enforce our agreements. Retention depends on the type of information and the context in which it was collected. To request account or data deletion, contact support. We will address requests in accordance with applicable law and our legitimate operational needs.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about the processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact support. We may need to verify your request and may have lawful reasons to retain or decline some information.

International processing

kaami and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Children and minors

kaami is not directed to children. Do not use kaami if you are not legally able to agree to these terms in your location. If you believe a child provided personal information to kaami, contact support.
